Toulouse – Marseille Preview

toulouse marseille preview

TOULOUSE

Really good game from Toulouse last week away at Bordeaux (drew 1-1). With a bit more luck Toulouse could have won all points, but playing in 10 they couldn’t resist Bordeaux’s siege and got equalized in the final moments.

Forward Ben Yedder was only on the bench and Toulouse looked better with an attacking midfielder taking his place. In the past Ben Yedder used to be one of the most important players for Toulouse but nowadays he can’t even make the first team.

Toulouse may struggle a bit defensively this round as they may be without central defender Kana-Biyik and fullback Somalia who suffered injuries last week.

Attacking midfielder Trejo will also sit out because of suspension and most likely Ben Yedder will take his place in the lineup…

MARSEILLE

Marseille were really unlucky last round against Lyon. First the referee invented a penalty for Lyon and then the same referee decided that 11 is too many and gave Alessandrini a red card. Winger Alessandrini is a key player for Marseille and even if they have valuable replacements the overall strength diminishes considerably without him.

In-spite of all the hardships Marseille were the ones dominating and in the end they deserved to keep a point at home (drew 1-1).

Since arriving at Marseille winger Cabella had only unconvincing performances and if nothing changes he will be only a bench warmer pretty soon.

BETTING

Both sides are coming after 1-1 draws but good performances that surely increased the confidence levels. There are a couple important absences on both ends and it won’t be surprising to see these sides splitting points in the end.
