Toulouse Angers Preview

toulouse angers preview

TOULOUSE

Toulouse made another disappointing game last week against St Etienne. They conceded very early from an invented penalty, got a red card after 45 minutes and the fate of the game was sealed (St Etienne won 3-0).

Recently Toulouse transferred-in forward Jean in order to add more pace to the attacking phase. He is a talented player, but so are the other forwards, and unfortunately Toulouse are yet to find the net in 2017, or at least to create some decent scoring opportunities.

In defense they are constantly making personal errors, and it’s no wonder they haven’t kept any clean sheet so far this year.

Hosts will miss midfielder Somalia due to suspension. New forward Andy Delort is in the squad for the first time (talented and experienced player).

ANGERS

Angers had an easy game last week, as they played against 9 for about half an hour, and didn’t have many problems in winning all points.

Still, Angers also looked very determined and confident even before the red cards. January was a tough month for Angers who missed forwards Diedhiou and Toko Ekambi, and key midfielder NDoye. Now Ndoye and Diedhiou are back from African Cup of Nations and the overall strength will skyrocket.

Angers were pretty aggressive in the midweek Cup game against Caen as well. They won 3-1, two goals were scored from penalties, but the important thing is they applied pressure and pushed the game forward.

Defender Traore is back to action after missing the midweek Cup game.

BETTING

Most probably Toulouse will be extra determined trying to pick up their first points of 2017, but it surely won’t be easy against a side in good form. That’s why the odds on home win seem a bit too low.
