Strasbourg didn’t have a chance last week away at Lyon. Opponents dominated from the first whistle and Strasbourg could barely create a few decent chances.
Corgnet, Martin and Saadi seem to be the most important attacking players, but all of them are newly transferred and the chemistry is at minimum levels.
Both fullbacks are also newly arrived and it may take a while for them to adapt. Until then, opponents can easily exploit this vulnerability.
Lille made an excellent game last week against Nantes (won 3-0). They were really impressive and constant in efforts throughout 90 minutes. Only new forward Araujo seemed a bit selfish, but maybe because he was keen on scoring in his first game (didn’t happen). I am pretty sure he will change attitude when the games will be more balanced.
There are no surprises in the squads.
Lille have some highly skilled players and also appear to be very dedicated. Strasbourg don’t seem to have enough power to stand in their way, at least not until there will be some cohesion in the squad. LILLE -0.5 at 2.03
