St Etienne Nice Preview

st etienne nice preview

St Etienne had a hesitant start of the season, but improved lately, especially after coach Galtier started using Saivet and Veretout in central midfield. Both of them have impressive creative skills, and now St Etienne are more incisive, in comparison to the period when Clement and Lemoine used to coordinate the play in midfield.

St Etienne’s forwards aren’t exactly bursting with talent, but they will start scoring more goals, mostly because there will be more actions inside opponents’ penalty box. Applying constant pressure is one of St Etienne’s biggest strengths, and it’s no wonder they 3rd when it comes to points won in the final 15 minutes (that’s usually when opponents can’t resist any longer).

Hosts will have to do without midfielders Lemoine and Hamouma, and forwards Beric and Tannane.

Last round Nice suffered their first Ligue 1 defeat this season (lost 1-0 at Caen). They still controlled the game, but weren’t so inventive as usual.

Nice may be a bit more careful this round and switch focus on the defensive aspect, at least in the beginning, both because the defeat last round and also because key striker Balotelli is suspended.

Nice are leaders at the moment when it comes to points won in the final 15 minutes.

Guests welcome back midfielder Seri after injury.

Even if both sides are fresh after the international break, the first half should be pretty boring, as neither team will assume any risks. Seeing they are both specialists when it comes to the final 15 minutes, most probably the score will be settled late in the game. LAST GOAL TO BE SCORED AFTER 72nd MINUTE at 2.00. Or, if you feel like watching the game, you can place a live bet for a goal to be scored in the final 15 minutes.
