Rennes were outplayed last week away at Dijon and the final result is fair (Dijon won 2-1). Rennes are very unpredictable as of late and they have alternating results.
I think they rely too much on forward Khazri, and whenever he’s got a bad day Rennes underperforms in the attacking phase. On the other hand, when Kahzri is in good form, Rennes can find the net against most Ligue 1 sides, especially if midfielder Gourcuff is also in the lineup.
Guingamp decreased rhythm lately and are now sitting on 3 consecutive defeats. Last week against Nantes they imposed the rhythm, but couldn’t create a single decent opportunity, and were easily surprised on counters (Nantes won 3-0).
Sometimes Guingamp can be a bit slow in the defensive phase, mostly because of defensive midfielders Deaux and Diallo who can be easily outrun, and can’t always provide support for defenders.
Hosts will miss midfielder Gourcuff. Guests will be without winger Salibur and midfielder Diallo, but new recruit Grenier is in the squad for the first time.
If Khazri will have a good day I think Rennes can make an impressive game. If you feel like watching the game, you can place a live bet after about 20 minutes, depending on Khazri’s performance.
