In March Rennes was one of the most in-form sides in Ligue1, but they reduced efforts all of sudden and won only 1 point in the last 5 rounds, scoring only one single goal.
About a month ago Rennes had a really good chance to qualify for Europa League, and from this point of view the superficial performances are even more surprising.
Forwards Sio and Dembele don’t communicate at all, and most their attempts are from long range, and end up miles away from the target.
In defense Rennes always make mistakes, especially central defender Diagne, and it’s a mystery how come coach Courbis continue to use Diagne in the lineup.
Bastia finished the season in style, after winning in-front of own fans (1-0 against Angers). They were more daring than usual and it was obvious they really wanted to win. It was a beautiful victory, especially since the winner was scored by captain Cahuzac (his second goal this season).
Bastia surely won’t show determination as last round, especially since they usually have a defensive approach in away games.
Bastia have one of the softest attacks in the tournament, and it will be difficult for them to speculate on counters.
A game between an out-of-form side, and a team who entered vacation mode after last round. Betting-wise there are much better options in Ligue1 this week.
