Reims made a smart and pragmatic game last round away at Sochaux. Even if they were cornered for most of the game, they still kept the defensive lucidity and successfully managed to reject all actions created by Sochaux.
Upfront they were deadly on counters started with through balls provided by the 3 central midfielders.
Central defender Tacalfred got out injured last round and is doubtful for this game. At the moment of writing there is nothing certain regarding his presence. If he will eventually miss Fofana will most likely take his place. Fofana played for about 1 hour last round and made a great game.
Opponents Nice suffered a 6th consecutive defeat (3rd without scoring) last round. They had some problems with injuries and suspensions for a couple of weeks, but even if players keep returning one by one Nice still can’t end the losing streak.
Striker Cvitanich is in poor form and whenever he doesn’t achieve full potential Nice are less than average. Winger Eysseric is the only one creating danger for Nice, but only one player in-form is far from enough.
Nice are also suffering defensively. Central defender Bodmer only returned from injury last round and is yet to find a rhythm. Against Monaco he struggled to keep up with slow forward Riviere.
Central defender Pejcinovic could return from injury but it’s too early to tell. First choice keeper Ospina is in the same situation, although the chances in his case are slimmer.
Nice are disconnected at the moment and Reims being solid in all departments could take advantage and build on the good momentum. At 2.13 the price on Reims to win is good enough for doubling our investment.
