Reims Guingamp Preview

reims guingamp preview

Convincing performance from Reims last week away at 2nd placed Monaco (finished 2-2). The game was very balanced and both sides created about the same number of scoring opportunities.

Recently Reims are very confident and active in the attacking phase, and don’t hesitate when it comes to pushing the game forward.

They have a defense in 3 that is very vulnerable, and it’s no wonder they kept only one clean sheet in 2016.

Reims will welcome back midfielder Devaux after suspension, but will have to do without winger Diego.

Guingamp made a good game last week against St Etienne and deserved to take all points (won 2-0). Attacking-wise they were once again very convincing, and reached opponents’ penalty box with ease.

Recently Guingamp began to build more down the flans and the strategy is paying off. Last round for example both fullbacks Martins-Pereira and Jacobsen were very involved in building up play, and even delivered an assists each.

Attacking the flanks can definitely give Guingamp an edge, especially against a side that uses 3 central defenders and no real fullbacks.

It was surprising to see Guingamp keeping a clean sheet last week. In all fairness we have to admit there was a minor improvement in their defensive play, but the real reason for keeping a clean sheet was opponents’ lack of creativity.

The chances for these sides to relegate are very small, so there shouldn’t be any extra precautionary methods. The odds on goals are extremely valuable as this game has great potential of going over. OVER 2.5 GOALS at 2.15

UPDATE: Guingamp will miss forwards Erdinc and Privat. Same bet
