PSG Nice Preview

psg nice preview

PSG

Two rounds ago PSG won the title in style after destroying Troyes 9-0, but last round round they went to the other extreme and lost on home ground against Monaco (finished 2-0).

They still controlled the game and clearly dominated the midfield, but couldn’t find any solutions against a determined defense.

It is difficult to anticipate how PSG will perform in Ligue1 from now on, especially since they don’t have any kind of motivation and are also involved in Champions League.

From a motivational point of view the game against Nice may be very similar to the one against Monaco. Furthermore PSG may already think at the Champions League game next week against Manchester City.

NICE

After a couple of hesitant results, Nice bounced back and continue to pursuit a Champions League position for next season.

Key forward Ben Arfa was injured for a couple of rounds and Nice lost important points, mainly because coach Puel started with central defender Bodmer as a playmaker. But now Ben Arfa is back, the system is back to normal and Nice are once again on the right track.

Although they aren’t scoring as many goals as in the first part of the season, the offensive phase remains Nice’s major strength. Forwards Germain and Ben Arfa are highly skilled players and young Plea is extremely active and inventive.

BETTING

Although Nice are very determined, it will be really hard against PSG’s world class talents, regardless the lack of motivation. Watching the first 15 – 20 minutes could give an insight on how the game will develop, and maybe Nice to score could prove to be a valuable live bet.

UPDATE: PSG will be without Di Maria, Pastore and Verratti. Guests will miss suspended midfielder Pied
