PSG received a lot of help last round when the referee showed Lille a red card in minute 37.
PSG have considerably reduced the rythm ever since they got eliminated from Champions League by Chelsea. They still heavily dominated all Ligue1 games but got superficial when it came to applying the finishing touch. Star striker Ibrahimovic was also injured for a couple of weeks, time in which PSG had to improvise and play with Cavani upfront (he was mostly a winger since arriving at Paris).
In-front of a packed stadium for the final time this season there is no question that PSG will again impose the rythm and control the game. Against a disorientated opponent like Montpellier, PSG should be able to create and convert more chances.
In comparison to last week hosts will miss central midfielder Cabaye who suffered an injury.
Montpellier made a poor game last week on home ground against Bastia (lost 2-0). Best attacking players Cabella and Niang looked exhausted and Montpellier could barely create one or two decent opportunities.
Defensively they were slow and often caught on the wrong foot while the support from midfielders always arrived too late.
Winger Ait Fana got out injured last week and most probably will miss this game.
Regardless their recent superficiality in-front of goal PSG have the potential to destroy Montpellier. They may also have a reason for being fired up since Montpellier are one of the few sides that defeated PSG this season (2-1 in the French Cup back in January). PSG -1.75 at 1.97
