PSG – Metz Preview

Last round PSG scored twice even before players got the chance to settle in the field and in these conditions the final outcome was no surprise (won 6-1 against Lille).

Another 4 goals followed and it seems PSG’s confidence is once again at full levels. Even without striker Ibrahimovic PSG don’t have too many problems in opening up opponents, especially thanks to individual skills. Pastore is more inspired than ever and is even considered by Eric Cantona the best player in the world, Lavezzi started scoring once again and netted a hat-trick last round, and Cavani needs only one touch in 90 minutes in order to score.

Central defender Silva will most likely be joined on the sidelines by keeper Sirigu and fullback Aurier who suffered injuries last week. It’s been a while since PSG kept a clean sheet in Ligue1 (7 rounds to be more precise) and since they focus more on the offensive aspect, and also have some problems with injuries, most probably things will continue in the same manner.

Metz got another positive result last round (1-1 away at Bordeaux) and they are still hoping to miraculously save the season. Metz got 7 points in the last 3 rounds and they are more confident and enthusiastic than ever. This is the best run of 2015 for Metz and nobody really cares that it came a bit too late in the season.

Veteran winger Malouda is in great form and runs continuously for 90 minutes like he’s 18 (Malouda is 34 years old), forward Maiga is also in high confidence and scored 4 goals in the last 3 rounds. The best thing is that both Maiga and Malouda are accustomed with dealing with opponents on their own, without much help from teammates. This will be of tremendous help against PSG, as the game will mostly have one direction…

When it comes to value these sides are at opposite ends (in the table they are literally at opposite ends) but Metz definitely have a good chance of scoring, especially given the good moment and PSG’s defensive negligence. Both to score at 2.20
