PSG Bastia Preview

psg bastia preview

PSG

The first part of the season was a bit boring for PSG who are undefeated in Ligue1 and dominate absolutely all opponents. Although there are still many rounds to go, there shouldn’t be any doubts that PSG will once again win the title. There may be a couple of wrong steps along the way, especially when important Champions League games will follow, but at the moment PSG have no real match in Ligue1.

Although there are a couple of rumors of players wishing to transfer out (Sirigu, Lavezzi) PSG haven’t made any transfers yet.

Hosts may be a bit slow after the winter break, just like it happened in the French Cup on the 3rd of January against 4th division side Wasquehal, when PSG barely won at a minimum advantage (finished 1-0).

Keeper Sirigu suffered an injury and may sit out.

BASTIA

Bastia were doing pretty good before the winter break and got positive results especially because of increased determination. Most Ligue1 teams reduced rythm in December, but Bastia increased it, and now they are 5 points clear the relegation zone.

If they will show the same determination in 2016 Bastia shouldn’t have any relegation woes in the final rounds. Bastia resumed training on Monday (a day earlier than PSG and most Ligue1 teams) and that could be a sign that they are willing to keep up the same rythm from December.

BETTING

Most probably PSG will start the game slowly and it will take them a while to perform at full strength. Guests will concentrate fully on defending and PSG could have difficulties in finding open spaces, especially if they won’t be performing at full potential. The first half should be pretty boring with PSG moving the ball around in midfield but unable to advance. First Half Bastia +1 at 2.03

UPDATE: PSG’s keeper Sirigu was left outside the squad. Bastia will have to do without winger Ayite
