Nice made a surprisingly good game last round away at Monaco. They imposed the rhythm and were pretty unlucky to be equalized in the dying seconds (finished 2-2).
Balotelli was extremely active and all attacking actions involved him one way or another. He scored twice, his first goals this year, and seems to be in excellent form.
A few days ago Nice lost midfielder Koziello who transferred at Koln. Although he is definitely a valuable player, lately he was mostly on the bench, as coach Favre decided that other players are more suitable to start in the lineup.
St Etienne were really disappointing last round away at Metz. Opponents fully dominated and the final result is fair (Metz won 3-0).
So far St Etienne managed to make two impressive transfers (midfielder M’Vila and winger Ntep), but most probably it will take a while until they adapt and make an impact. M’Vila started in the lineup last round, but seemed out-of-form and was easily outplayed by opponents.
In comparison to last round Nice will miss defender Marlon and Le Marchand. Guests welcome back forward Soderlund, but will miss defender Hernani.
St Etienne seem disorientated at the moment. Players are unable to understand the game plan, that is, if a proper game plan actually exists. Nice -0.75 at 2.07
