Nice were unlucky last round away at Caen. They controlled the game, held more possession, created more scoring opportunities, but were equalized in the dying seconds and had to settle with just 1 point (finished 1-1).
Regardless the result last round, Nice managed to get back on the right track after a series of disappointing performances that got them very close to the relegation zone.
The biggest problem for Nice is that they are conceding more goals than they are scoring. At least attacking players are in good form and performed above standards in the midweek Europa League game. Both forward were very active, and Balotelli even managed to score twice (won 3-1 against Zulte).
Lyon haven’t conceded in 6 games and that’s quite an achievement (Europa League included). Still, opponents like Troyes, Metz or Montpellier are very far away from Nice’s attacking strength.
In the attacking phase everything looks great for Lyon. They have 4 world class players (Fekir, Depay, Traore and Diaz) who are very active each round.
Lyon will miss fullback Morel and forward Traore.
This should be a very entertaining encounter with plenty of opportunities on both ends. Bookies did well to adjust prices, but there is still value on goals. Over 3 goals at 2.07
