Nice were a bit lucky to win all points last week away at Rennes. Opponents imposed the rhythm, but didn’t have enough power to find the net. Eventually they got tired, and with 10 minutes to go Nice managed to exploit due to their experience (won 1-0). The performance wasn’t impressive, but the result was positive.
Things can only improve for Nice, especially since midfielder Sneijder recovered from injury. Most probably Sneijder will partner Seri in central midfielder. Nice will excel in creativity and the number of scoring opportunities should drastically increase.
Angers made a really disappointing game last week against Metz. It was expected for opponents to hold more possession due to Angers’ playing style, but this time nothing worked out for Angers’ attacking players. They could not exploit on counters, as wingers Capelle and Toko Ekambi were easily dispossessed.
Forward Guilaumme replaced Crivelli who was suspended. Guilaumme wasn’t of much use, but most probably will be in the lineup again this round, since Crivelli is still suspended.
If Angers’ wingers perform like last round, they won’t stand a chance against Nice. One way encounter should be expected, with Nice imposing the rhythm from the first whistle. Nice -0.75 at 2.11
