Nice’s midweek Cup game against Nantes was one of the most exciting games I’ve seen in a while in France (Nantes lost 4-3).
Nice were a bit unlucky as the decisive goal was scored in the final moments. Not only that but keeper Ospina suffered a light knock while warming up before the game and nobody wanted to take any risks, so he was substituted with young Veronese.
[restrict paid=true level=1] It is nothing serious for Ospina and he should be available for Saturday.
Even if Nice were eliminated from the Cup there are a couple of good news. First of all striker Cvitanich managed to score after about 2 months of continuously missing the target. He only needed 10 minutes on the field to score a goal.
Secondly the entire offensive department looked good even if winger Bautheac and striker Cvitanich started only on the bench. The good cooperation between Bruls and Bruins was surprising to say the least.
Even if wingers Eysseric and Pied are still injured, it looks like Nice have enough offensive power, especially with Cvitanich back in confidence.
Nice will still miss both central defenders Bodmer and Pejcinovic.
Ajaccio made a somewhat good game last round against PSG. Once again midfielders Lasne and Andre were in the center of attention. They are the only ones capable of creating chances. Unfortunately, they can’t be the ones giving the pass and receiving the ball in the same time, meaning no matter if Lasne and Andre create a chance or two, there’s nobody able to apply the finishing touch.
Central midfielder Pierazzi transferred out to San Jose. This is quite a blow for Ajaccio who will definitely miss him. Now they will rely only on Faty, Mostefa and Pedretti in central midfield. Pedretti is a decent player but hasn’t adapted yet at Ajaccio and is injured most the time. Faty and Mostefa are slow, lack stamina and usually around min 70 they can barely breath.
Forward Arrache and midfielder Pedretti are still injured, but defender Zubar is finally available again after injury, same as forward Goncalves who fulfilled his suspension.
Recently Ajaccio have kind of a chaotic playing style and only by chance they could score against Nice (even if both central defenders are still out). This game will have only one direction, towards Ajaccio’s net. With Nice’s offensive players back in form they should be able to put a few past keeper Ochoa.
Nice -1 (with money back if they win just by 1) at the odds of 2.00 is definitely a great bet. Medium confidence.
UPDATE: Winger Bautheac got injured and will miss. Same bet
