For me personally Nantes’ last game was a nightmare (lost 1-0 vs Sochaux). I wanted to asses strikers’ Djordjevic form but I couldn’t find him anywhere on the field.
According to official statistics he was in the lineup for Nantes, but on the field he was playing hide and seek with the cameras. I don’t think he touched the ball 5 times in total.
Rumors on Djordjevic transferring-out intensified in last weeks even if he pledged future to Nantes. He was not in good form before the winter break and I believe all this fuss made him realize Nantes are after all a team without much expectations. This added to his poor form almost leading to a state of depression.
With Djordjevic being absent minded, and striker Aristigueta and attacking midfielder Bedoya injured, I really don’t know who can score for Nantes. Once again they will rely on Bangoura upfront, but he lacks skills and all his efforts are in vain, he’s just like a fish on dry land.
Good news for Nantes is that in comparison to last rounds central defender Djilobodji is in better form and can organize the defense around him. So defensively Nantes are strong and hard to open up.
As expected PSG heavily dominated against Bordeaux last round, but failed to create more than a few truly dangerous opportunities.
They’ve lost Cavani due to injury for about 1 month which will prove to be quite a blow.
Ibrahimovic doesn’t feel like playing football anymore as he seems to have other things on his minds. Maybe he wants to start playing darts or something.
Newly arrived midfielder Cabaye will most likely start the game. He played for about 20 min last round and seemed to be very determined. Maybe too determined, as he was desperate to shot, and at one point even missed the ball…
Like always in Cup games coach Blanc may give a chance to some reserve players. Digne and Marquinhos may start in defense, Menez in midfield and even young Ongenda may play upfront.
This game will be entirely different from the one played about 2 weeks ago when PSG trashed Nantes 5-0. Nantes are better organized at the back now and PSG have diminished offensive power.
PSG can certainly win this game but a handicap bet on them is not valuable. Straight away win can be good accumulator material. As a single bet I prefer under 2.5 goals at 1.95 seeing that both sides lack ideas upfront.
