It’s been a while now since Nantes are in vacation mode, and it’s no wonder they picked up only 1 point on the last 5 rounds. Last week away at Marseille they played in numerical superiority for about an hour, but couldn’t get more than a draw, and were often cornered by opponents (finished 1-1).
Besides attitude, nothing much has changed for Nantes. They still use the same team with constant rotation in the attacking department. Only the approach is different, as players seem bored, and think only at the final whistle.
Nantes may show some determination in the final round, when they will encounter PSG. But until that game, Nantes will continue to have a superficial approach.
Nice continue to chase a Champions League position for next season. They are in good form and confidence at the moment, after picking up 7 points in the last 3 rounds, against difficult and motivated opponents.
At the beginning of 2016 Nice had some problems with injuries and struggled in the attacking phase. But now everything is back to normal, forwards Germain and Ben Arfa started scoring again and Nice are only 2 points away from Champions League.
Guests will have to do without defenders Le Marchand and Pereira, both of them suspended.
Nantes are very soft as of late and there is no reason for them to increase efforts this round. It will be difficult for Nice without two regular defenders, but they are highly organized at the back and very efficient upfront. NICE -0.25 at 2.07
