Solid performance from Nantes last week away at Troyes (won 1-0). Upfront they weren’t so incisive as in previous rounds, but it was an away game and the approach was understandable.
Newly arrived midfielder Gillet scored his first goal for Nantes after a couple of convincing performances. Although it took him 4 rounds to find the net, Gillet adapted instantly at Nantes and pretty soon will become a leader, thanks to his experience and attitude.
With the exception of a few defensive blunders, things are looking good for Nantes, and especially impressive is the enthusiasm with which they enter the field.
There are no new injuries so most likely Nantes will use the same squad as last round.
Really disappointing result from Gazelec Ajaccio last week against Montpellier (lost 4-0). They were very soft in the attacking phase, but in defense they were simply disastrous.
Defenders lacked confidence and made many mistakes, from missed interventions to wrong clearances. This may very well have been the worst game for them since the season started.
The defeat last week will surely affect the morale and it may Ajaccio a while to get back on the right track.
Gazelec Ajaccio are in poor form, both offensively and defensively. If Nantes will once again have the same exuberant attitude they shouldn’t have any problems in taking all points. Nantes -0.5 at 1.96
