Monaco didn’t had any problems in taking all points from their trip to Lens last week (won 3-0).
Fullback Fabinho replaced Toulalan in central midfield (injured) and made a good game. In defense no balls got past him and he also took part in the offensive phase.
Monaco played some good football but the opponent was really poor and that game alone is not really relevant. Lately Monaco have struggled on home ground and were often dominated by teams who had little to fight for (almost no motivation). This also happened against Rennes 2 rounds ago when Monaco were lucky to get away with a draw (finished 1-1).
Things can get ugly for Monaco against sides who fight for their lives, sides likes Toulouse who sit just 2 points above the relegation zone.
Toulouse found the net early last week against Nantes but slowly reduced efforts afterwards and got equalized with only a couple of minutes to go. It was frustrating for Toulouse as they lost 2 important points and most probably they will need to double their efforts in order to compensate.
Toulouse will welcome back fullback Ninkov after suspension. This is good news as his place in the lineup was taken by veteran Siriex who is actually a defensive midfielder and was very slow and prone to mistakes while playing on the flank.
Top scorer Ben Yedder should also return after sitting only on the bench last round because of an injury.
This game won’t be that easy as the odds suggests, not with Toulouse hungry for points and Monaco unexpectedly reducing rythm in home games.
