Really impressive performance by Lyon last week against rivals Marseille. Lyon dominated almost the entire game and the victory was fully deserved (won 3-1).
Lacazette scored twice (again), and now he is one of the most in-form player in Ligue1, after also scoring twice in the first round of 2017.
Lyon are bursting with confidence, and every single player in the lineup is close to achieving maximum potential. Even keeper Lopes had a couple of impressive saves last round. Maybe only forward Fekir is a bit shy (in comparison to last seasons), as he never really picked up rhythm after a long injury.
Hosts welcome back forward Ghezzal from African cup of Nations. Newly transferred forward Depay is in the squad for the first time.
Lille were lucky to get away with a draw from their trip to Dijon last week (finished 0-0). Opponents imposed the rhythm, created the best scoping opportunities, but keeper Enyeama had some amazing reflexes and saved a point. Enyeama was by far the man of the match.
Lille were very soft in midfield, especially in the center, and opponents didn’t have many problems controlling the game.
They have a few talented attacking players, but at the moment they all seem to lack inspiration. Furthermore forward Lopes suffered an injury last round and will miss this game.
Lille don’t seem capable of stopping Lyon from building on last week’s victory. One way game should be expected. LYON -1.25 at 2.07
