Lyon is the first Ligue1 side who managed to defeat PSG this season (won 2-1 last round). It was an extremely important result for Lyon that boosted confidence at maximum levels.
The battle for the last position in Champions League is very tight, but Lyon are now in the lead and things look really promising.
Besides the confidence boost, Lyon will also welcome back a couple of important players who missed last round. Jallet, Umtiti and Grenier will return after suspension, and they should all be in the lineup.
Most probably midfielders Valbuena and Tolisso will once again miss through injury, but they were out against PSG as well and Lyon looked pretty good.
Hosts will also miss midfielder Ferri who is suspended.
Guingamp conceded a total of 10 goals in the last 3 rounds. At the moment they have by far the worst defense in Ligue1, and the ease with which opponents reach Guingamp’s penalty box is simply shocking.
Keeper Lossl has amazing reflexes, but he is only human after all and can’t keep a clean sheet on his own.
Guingamp do score goals, and they can be very dangerous on counters thanks to Braind’s experience Sankhare’s vision.
Last round Lyon won maybe the most important 3 points of the season. That win will give them wings and will make them feel invincible. Lyon will rush upfront from the first whistle and their efforts will surely pay, but in the same time they will neglect the defensive duties. OVER 2.75 GOALS at 2.11
UPDATE: Lyon will once again miss midfielders Valbuena and Tolisso, while Guingamp will be without winger Benezet
