Lyon didn’t have many problems in taking all points from their trip to Reims last week (won 4-2).
Lyon started in force and 10 minutes into the game they were already leading 2-0. If about a month or two ago only forwards Lacazette and Fekir were the ones making the difference, now also young N’Jie is getting more involved in the offensive actions and seem to have an increased appetite for scoring goals.
N’Jie netted 3 goals in the last 4 rounds and is also very altruistic and delivers decisive passes (made another assist last round). With such a powerful attacking phase few teams in Ligue1 have the power to stand ground against Lyon, and Evian is not one of them…
Hosts will welcome back central defender Rose after suspension but forward Fekir is doubtful.
Besides the goal they scored Evian couldn’t create other chances last week against Bastia (lost 2-1). It was a shy performance and it came exactly when Evian had a good opportunity to escape the relegation zone. Forward Duhamel and winger Sunu returned from injury but they were invisible for most of the game (even if Sunu scored).
In defense there were simply too many personal errors and these conditions Evian don’t deserve to stay another season in Ligue1.
In comparison to last round Evian will have central defender Mensah back after suspension.
Evian’s irresponsible defenders will look like amateurs when up against Lacazette, Fekir and N’Jie. One sided encounter to be expected with Lyon in charge from the first whistle. Lyon -1.75 at 1.99
UPDATE: Lyon’s forward Fekir recovered from injury and is in the squad. Evian will have to do without veteran midfielder Barbosa.
