Weird game between Lille and Bordeaux last week with lighting actions on both sides but no goal in the end (finished 0-0).
Forward Guillaume once again made a disappointing game and easily lost possession exactly when Lille seemed to be in decisive advantage. Even inexperienced coach Renard realized that Guillame is not Lille material but unfortunately there are no decent options available on the bench (Tallo is also a mediocre player).
This will be a hard season for Lille with midfielders struggling to compensate the lack of a valuable striker. But the good news is that winger Boufal was extremely active last round and seems to be aware of his important role in the squad.
Gazelec Ajaccio are the primary candidates for relegating at the end of the season and so far their performances stand proof of that…
As expected they started to put emphasis on the offensive phase, especially since they have 6 attacking players and coach Laurey continuously rotates hoping that competition will push players in overcoming their limits.
But even with 3 forwards in the lineup it may take a while until Gazelec Ajaccio will score their first Ligue1 goal as they don’t create many real goal-scoring opportunities and there is a gap between departments.
Neither side scored so far in Ligue1 and only hosts have a real chance of netting their first goal of the season. Lille will push hard from the first minutes and it will be very surprising if Ajaccio will have the power to reply. Even without a proper striker Lille are capable of pushing the game forward and applying constant pressure that will exhaust Gazelec Ajaccio. Lille -1.25 at 2.14
