Although opponents fully controlled the game, Lille did pretty good last round away at PSG (lost 2-1).
Coach Collot didn’t change system, and once again started with 3 forwards. Midfielder Xeka and forwards Kishna and El Ghazi (all of them newly transferred) started in the lineup, and most probably they will be regulars from now on.
Although Lille are yet to win since the arrival of the new players, the rhythm definitely increased, most actions are now carried in speed, and pretty soon they should start climbing the Ligue1 ladder.
Hosts will once again miss forwards Eder and Lopes.
The game between Angers and Rennes last round was very balanced, and both sides deserved the point they won (finished 0-0).
This is the first clean sheet for Angers in 2017. Keeper Michel saved the day, and that was the main reason Angers haven’t conceded.
Midfielder Ndoye and forward Diedhiou returned to action about a week ago (both of them are key players), but until now there is no improvement in Angers’ play. This round they will also welcome back important forward Toko Ekambi.
Lille look way better in comparison to the first part of the season, and it’s about time they start getting results. There’s nothing impressive about Angers at the moment, on the contrary, they will have real problems surviving in Ligue1 if nothing changes. LILLE -0.5 at 1.98
