The Ligue1 transfer window opened on 9th of June, and even if EURO 2016 is in the center of attention, there were already a couple of important transfers.
Bordeaux will find it really difficult to replace striker Diabate, midfielder Chantome and fullback Debuchy. They are all highly skilled players and their departures will surely affect the way Bordeaux performs.
Caen transferred-in two experienced players, Malbranque from Lyon and Diomande from St Etienne, but lost important defender Appiah who left for Anderlecht.
Keeper Lossl made miracles at Guingamp, and was one of the main reasons Guingamp had no relegation woes. Now he transferred out and his replacements will have some big shoes to fill.
Lorient also lost two important players, fullback Guereirro and team leader Jouffre. Guereirro made the next logical step in his career and headed for Borussia Dortmund, while Jouffre chose Metz.
Fullback Bedimo transferred from Lyon to Marseille, but once again he will encounter rough competition and will have to work hard to win a place in the lineup. Marseille also transferred-in in Japanese defender Sakai from Hannover. On the other hand important players like Lucas Silva, NKoulou, Romao, Thauvin and Isla left the squad.
Metz were very active on the transfer market and brought-in some interesting players, like experienced winger Jouffre, strikers Falcon, Erding and Nguette. Metz also transferred-in 5 players from RFC Seraing from Belgium, but they will all be only reserves.
Monaco welcomed back striker Falcao after a poor season in England, and they also transferred-in highly skilled fullback Mendy from Marseille, for about 13 million euro.
Montpellier lost important midfielders Dabo and Martin and will surely struggle to find proper replacements.
Nantes made some interesting moves, they transferred-in midfielders Kacaniclik (ex Fulham), Thomsen from Aalborg and defender Carlos from Estoril. They will definitely improve the overall strength, but Nantes will have to cope with the departure of talented fullback Sabaly.
Rennes lost talented winger Dembele who transferred at Borussia Dortmund, but brought-in experienced midfielder Chantome from Bordeaux. Chantome was exactly what Rennes needed, as they were active mostly down the wings, but lacked resources in the center of the field.
St Etienne lost a couple of players from the sides (fullbacks, wingers), Tabanou, Brison, Clerc, Bahebeck, and until now they transferred-in only Dabo from Montpellier in order to compensate.
The transfer window will close on 31st of August and surely the most important moves are yet to be made, so stay tuned for more transfers.
