Guingamp defended their chances heroically last round away at Monaco and in the end won an important point in the battle to avoid relegation (finished 1-1).
Monaco held most of the possession, had the best of chances, but Guingamp defended on two lines and only one player didn’t take part in the defensive phase.
With 2 rounds to go Guingamp are only 2 points above the relegation zone and since their last game of the season is away at Marseille, Guingamp will treat the game against Toulouse like a final.
Once again all players will make extra efforts in order to keep a clean sheet, the only difference is this time they will also concentrate on the offensive phase.
Hosts will have to do without midfielder Diallo who is suspended.
Even if Toulouse dominated last round against Nantes they couldn’t find any solutions in-front of goal (finished 1-1). Opponents don’t need extra offensive abilities to score against Toulouse. They use a defense in 3 and only 1 defensive minded midfielder. In these conditions the spaces given away are simply huge.
It’s going to be even more difficult for Toulouse this round seeing that defensive midfielder Aguilar is suspended and central defender Spajic suffered an injury last round and most probably will miss.
Toulouse don’t fight for anything anymore and this is seen in their playing style and also in their results (it’s been 2 months already since they actually won a game). Besides being in good form and confident, Guingamp are also very motivated (not to mention the team news that also favors them). Guingamp -0.75 at 2.07
