Although they lost at a huge difference Guingamp did had their share of chances last week away at PSG (finished 6-0).
Guingamp reached PSG’s penalty box a couple of times only from a few passes but precipitated when it came to apply the finishing touch. Even if they failed to find the net the offensive phase was at a decent standard.
In defense however there was total chaos. It’s true they played against a world class opponent, but even so, almost all interventions failed and even simple clearances ended up at Ibrahimovic and company. Guingamp don’t have anything to play for nowadays and maybe this lack of motivation has a significant impact on defenders’ performances.
Hosts will welcome back winger Pied after he was suspended last round.
Toulouse were heavily cornered last week against Lille but they successfully managed to speculate on counters and took advantage of every tiny space in Lille’s defense (Toulouse won 3-2).
With 10 minutes to go Lille were leading 2-1 and Toulouse were in for a difficult two final rounds. But 2 quick counters changed everything and now Toulouse are 5 points clear the relegation zone and the chances for them to relegate are close to zero.
It was the first time in 2015 when Toulouse scored 3 times in a single game. All regular offensive players scored (forwards Braithwaite and Ben Yedder and attacking midfielder Trejo) and from an attacking point of view this should be the best moment of the season for Toulouse.
Final rounds are always full of action since most teams don’t put much emphasis on the defensive phase. Bookies failed to adjust the odds especially seeing that both Guingamp and Toulouse are in good offensive mood. Over 2.25 goals at 1.90
