Guingamp Nancy Preview

guingamp nancy preview

Guingamp had a difficult game last round away at Angers, and managed to resist only 1 half without conceding (Angers won 3-0). Guingamp also had their share of chances, but opponents were very organized and manage to keep a clean sheet.

They sit safely exactly in the middle of the table, and although the situation is pretty tight in the lower half, they shouldn’t have any relegation woes in the final rounds. There won’t be any additional pressure in future rounds, but in the same time, Guingamp will have problems mobilizing in case opponents take an early lead.

On home ground Guingamp had alternating results in 2017, but they were very active in most games, and did their best to impose the rhythm, even against sides like Monaco and Lyon.

Hosts will miss defender Leveque, but welcome back forward Privat and defender Sankoh.

Nancy started in force last week against Lorient and were 2-0 at the break. Everyone thought that Nancy will finally end the bad run (only 1 point in the last 8 rounds), but once again Nancy disappointed and were completely outplayed in second half. They conceded 3 goals, the last one in added time, and lost all points (Lorient won 3-2).

They had a week off to get back on their feet, but form is poor, morale is shattered, and without official games nothing can really change.

Nancy are Ligue 2 material at the moment, and struggle to keep up with opponents in all areas of the field. Guests will miss defender Badila, and midfielders Pedretti and Ait Bennasser.

Guingamp can easily control this game and impose the rhythm. Nancy will be lucky to escape with a point, given how they performed lately. GUINGAMP -0.5 at 1.90
