Last round it looked as if Gazelec Ajaccio didn’t even tried to create any problems for St Eteinne (lost 2-0). Even coach Laurey admitted the result was logical and there was nothing his team could have done. That attitude may not be healthy but fortunately Gazelec Ajaccio are much more determined in home games.
Ajaccio realized that home games represent the sole chance for survival in Ligue1. They managed to score in the last two home games and showed a very combative attitude, unlike that of last round.
They have 4 players doing the offensive phase, all of them with decent speed and ball control skills.
Gazelec Ajaccio will welcome back midfielder Ducourtioux and defender Filippi after suspension.
Not only from Ligue1, but actually Nice have one of the most offensive and efficient playing styles in Europe. Nice’s secret may be that players are enjoying every single moment on the field and they are easily able to make the most of their skills.
It’s simply a delight to watch Nice play and a reminder of what football should be all about. They have scored a whooping 17 goals in the last 4 rounds, and that’s an amazing number for any tournament the world, especially for Ligue1.
Third keeper Cardinale should continue in the lineup seeing the first two keepers are injured.
Once again we have an excellent price on goals and if bookies didn’t get it by now they never will. With Gazelec Ajaccio trying to keep points at home and Nice always offensive minded we should have another goal fest. Over 2.25 goals at 1.96
UPDATE: Nice welcome back defender Genevois after injury.
