It’s been two months since Gazelec Ajaccio lost a game in Ligue1. The constant efforts paid off and now they are 4 points clear the relegation zone.
The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, confidence is running high, players are enjoying every minute on the field, fans go crazy on home games, everything is just prefect for newly promoted Gazelec Ajaccio.
Attacking players have good speed and ball control skills, so Ajaccio focus mostly on counter attacking tactics. They are not so efficient when it comes to dominating opponents, but they won’t have to worry about that against Lyon.
This is a really bad moment for Lyon who picked up only 1 point in the last 5 Ligue1 rounds. They were a bit lucky to concede only 14 goals in those games… as opponents created numerous real scoring opportunities.
They also struggled a bit in the Cup game against Ligue2 side Tours. In the end they won 2-1 and although they used the second squad the difference in quality should have been bigger.
Valbuena, Lacazette and Umtiti will most probably sit out again. But even if they return not much will change, especially with Valbuena completely out-of-form and more preoccupied by the sex scandal affair in which he is involved.
Lyon will welcome fullback Rafael after he was suspended in the Cup.
Football is not only about value, otherwise all bettors would be millionaires. There are also other factors that need to be taken in consideration, and for this game form and morale clearly favor hosts. Gazelec Ajaccio +0.25 at 1.92
UPDATE: Lyon welcome back fullbacks Bedimo and Rafael but will miss fullbacks Jallet and Morel who joined Valbuena, Umtiti and Lacazette on the sidelines
