Gazelec Ajaccio made a decent game last round against Marseille, and fully deserved the point they won (finished 1-1). Mathematically they still aren’t safe from relegation, but if they keep up the same rythm there won’t be any emotions in the final rounds.
Gazelec Ajaccio can be a pretty uncomfortable opponent, especially if they are given the opportunity to believe in their chance. They can easily grow wings and create huge problems for much more experienced and valuable opponents.
Hosts will welcome back defender Filippi after suspension.
Caen got a good result last week against Monaco. Caen still managed to score twice, even if they missed topscorer Delort and used a system with 5 defenders.
This system is new for Caen, and it suits them when up against powerful opponents who try to control games. They won against St Etienne in this formula and got a decent result against Monaco. But most probably against relegation candidates they will switch back to the classic 4-4-2, especially since forward Delort will return to the lineup.
Caen are still fighting for a place in Europe next season. The battle is rough and direct contenders are very powerful, but Caen do have a chance and they will surely try to make the most of it.
Caen have a firm belief when it comes to away games, they either take all or nothing. This game can be great material be live betting on goals. The over 2 goals line should be pretty valuable after 15 or 20 minutes.
UPDATE: No surprises in Caen’s squad
