Evian – Montpellier Preview - Ligue 1 Betting Tips

Evian – Montpellier Preview

We should all give a round of applause for Evian. Their game is just marvelous as of late. It’s not just last round away at Ajaccio, but 2 rounds ago also when up against Lyon.

At Ajaccio near the end of the game they came under heavy pressure, but it’s understandable considering that at one point they where 3-0 up. A state of relaxation is automatically installed in such conditions.

For Evian the flanks that make all the difference, and of course striker’s Berigaud top form.
I’ve said it last week, but I’ll repeat myself for everyone that missed last week’s preview: Evian’s coach Dupraz found an efficient system that takes opponents by surprise, fullbacks and wingers constantly switch roles, allowing them to be fresh and motivated for the entire 90 minutes.

On the left side there’s young and promising talent Sabaly together with winger Ehret ( now he’s injured so they use Benezet) and on the right Dja DjeDje and Wass are simply destroying everything in their path.

Striker Berigaud is Ligue1’s top scorer at the moment with 5 goals from 5 games. There’s just no stopping this fellow.

It is true that the central defense is not made of stone or anything, but there’s constant help provided from central midfielders, not to mention that wingers are also active in the defense phase.

For Evian Barbosa, Ehret and Ruben, are still injured (they also missed last round, so no biggie here).

Montpellier are simply lost this season. Their defensive style is chaotic, the building attempts are pathetic, not to even mention the finishing since they rely mostly on long range attempts.

Fullback Congre lost his place in the team and is substituted by newly arrived Jebbour from Rennes, a player who barely even made the bench last season at Rennes.

The other fullback Tiene tries to compensate for midfielders’ lack of creativity and takes many actions on his own, but the mind is playing tricks on him and and he forgets to return.

Central midfielder Stambouli is one of the most agitated players I’ve ever seen. He runs around the field with no purpose at all, pushing everything in his path and consuming all his energy in vain. He should take some medication to treat the anxiety and panic disorder…

Forward Bakar and winger Mounier will return from suspension and most probably will start from the 1st minute seeing that their replacements failed to impress. The only problems is that neither Bakar nor Mounier could impress in the games before suspension.

A team filled with problems and having at helm a coach with questionable skills, a coach who destroyed a team last season, Fernandez ex Nancy.

Considering Evian’s form at 2.21 the price on home win mustn’t be missed. This may prove to be one of the best bets in Ligue1 this round.
