Dijon Nantes Preview

dijon nantes preview

Dijon’s players have little experience in Ligue 1, and so they transferred-in two central midfielders with huge experience and vision. Balmont and Martin arrived from Lille and most probably both of them will go straight into the lineup.

This season Dijon will continue upfront with the couple Tavares – Diony, talented players, with impressive ball control and finishing skills. They scored 11 goals each last season, and will definitely be a threat for many Ligue1 sides.

On the other hand Dijon lost key central defender Jullien, who somehow managed to score 9 goals last season. Jullien is now at Toulouse, so if any of you are into fantasy football, you can count of Jullien for points.

Hosts will have to do without newly arrived Martin who suffered an injury.

Last season Nantes had a beautiful squad, a young squad, full of energy and enthusiasm. The only problem was the lack of experience and playing relations.

They never relied on a single player, so the changes made this summer won’t affect their style too much. Midfielders Gomis, Bedoya and Audel left the squad, same as defenders Lenjani and Sabaly. On the other hand they transferred-in winger Kacaniklic, midfielder Thomsen, defenders Carlos and Lima, all of them interesting players, young players who should accommodate rapidly and fit perfectly in the system.

When Dijon will learn how to build their play around newly arrived Balmont and Martin, they will definitely create problems for many Ligue 1 clubs. At the moment Nantes are more experienced and can take advantage of Dijon’s desire to start the season on the right foot. Odds on Nantes are too valuable to miss out. NANTES DNB at 2.26
