BORDEAUX NICE PREVIEW BY LGF

BORDEAUX

Bordeaux have visibly improved recently, even if they won only 3 points in the last 3 Ligue1 games. Especially in the offensive phase they seem very confident, and all attacking players are in excellent form.

Fullback Debuchy already adapted at Bordeaux and proved to be a real asset. He is involved in many of Bordeaux’s attacking actions, and often makes the difference on the right flank.

Unfortunately for Bordeaux they aren’t so solid when it comes to defending. There are many open spaces and they concede way too many goals. There’s lack of communication between new keeper Bernardoni and defenders, and all set pieces are extremely dangerous for Bordeaux. Hopefully things will improve in the near future, so Bordeaux can fully enjoy the good offensive form.

NICE

Nice mostly defended last round against Marseille, but somehow they still won a point (finished 1-1).

Coach Puel took everyone by surprise and started with Bodmer in the attacking department. Bodmer is usually a central defender, but last round played as an attacking midfielder. He also has experience as a defensive midfielder, but forcing him to participate in the offensive phase proved to be too much.

Without Ben Arfa (injured) and with central defender Bodmer acting as play-maker, it was no surprise to see Nice struggling to push the game forward.

Ben Arfa will miss again this round, and there is a high possibility that Bodmer will once again have attacking tasks.

BETTING

In normal conditions most teams wouldn’t have many problems scoring against Bordeaux. But not when you have a central defender in the play-maker position. Bordeaux have a great chance to build on last week’s victory, and get closer to the European positions. BORDEAUX -0.5 at 2.03

UPDATE: Bordeaux once again have a long injury list, but it’s nothing new in comparison to last round
