Bordeaux Lorient Preview

bordeaux lorient preview

BORDEAUX

Really entertaining game last round between Bordeaux and Troyes, with 6 goals scored and plenty of scoring shots on target (Bordeaux won 4-2).

Bordeaux’s attacking phase looked really impressive, with young Malcom and Ounas providing key passes for forwards Diabate and Rolan. Rolan was by far the man of the match, after scoring two goals and getting involved in most of Bordeaux’s offensive actions.

Attacking-wise Bordeaux have tremendous potential, but unfortunately the season is over for them, even if they have a game in hand (against PSG next week). But the good news is that Bordeaux seem to enjoy playing without pressure, and they are making the best of their skills.

Although central defender Pallois returned from injury last round, Bordeaux’s defense was loose and hesitant.

Hosts should welcome back fullback Contento, after missing last week due to personal reasons. With Contento back, Bordeaux should be more aggressive, as both fullbacks Debuchy and Contento advance frequently.

LORIENT

Lorient haven’t scored in the last 3 games (Cup included), but they have been up against the best defenses in Ligue1 (PSG, St Etienne and Lille).

With 2 rounds to go and 7 points above the relegation zone, Lorient can relax as there is no pressure of the results anymore.

Recently they had some problems with injuries, but things are slowly getting back to normal. Last round winger Cabot and fullback Guerreiro made a comeback, and this this week key forward Waris should return from injury.

BETTING

Hosts are in great offensive form and will surely impose the rythm. Lorient usually go along, and should create plenty of problems for hosts’ loose defense. over 2.75 at 1.90
