Really disappointing performance from Bordeaux last round away at Reims (lost 4-1). From a defensive point of view Bordeaux are simply disastrous.
Judging solely by their defensive play, Bordeaux deserve to relegate at the moment. New keeper Bernardoni doesn’t communicate at all with defenders, and is simply overwhelmed by all the actions easily created by opponents.
Bordeaux’s central midfielders seem slow and unable to keep up with a normal Ligue1 rythm. This is why defenders are often all alone in dealing with incoming danger.
On the other hand Bordeaux have fast and skilled players in the attacking department and can find the net against most Ligue1 sides.
Bordeaux still have a long injury list, but there’s nothing new in comparison to last round.
Recently Gazelec Ajaccio have alternating performances when it comes to determination. They can be very aggressive one round and barely lift their legs next week.
Only one thing is for sure when it comes to Gazelec Ajaccio. They always make vital defensive errors, no matter the opponent, the stake of the game, and the current score.
The same story happened in the midweek Cup game away at Lorient when opponents easily won 3-0.
We all know by now that Bordeaux always play offensive football. They surely won’t change strategy now when they need to get back on the right track. This game has all the ingredients for high scoring encounter. OVER 2.5 goals at 2.19
