Bastia – PSG Preview - Ligue 1 Betting Tips

Bastia – PSG Preview

Bastia got an undeserved point last round away at Lorient (finished 1-1). Opponents opened the score in the 1st half and a felling of superiority installed quickly helping Bastia snatch 1 point.

In the absence of Krasic and Raspentino (both of them injured) coach Hantz started with young Achili on the wing. The debut was a disappointment and he was substituted early in the 2nd half. Replacement Bruno was the one scoring the equalizer. The goal was impressive (nice volley) but that doesn’t really make Bruno a world class player, only helps boost his confidence a bit. So offensively Bastia aren’t doing that well, especially when play-maker Boudebouz is just a shadow and loves to play hide and seek with teammates.

There were still many spaces between defenders, it was only opponents’ fault (or misfortune) they haven’t scored more.

Hosts will welcome back central midfielder Yatabare after he was suspended last round.

PSG dominated Marseille last week from all points of view (won 2-0). In-fact they control all their opponents nowadays. This situation could change only in the later stages of Champions League, as there’s no possibility of that happening in Ligue1…

PSG had many players involved in the midweek international friendlies, but they are all professionals, accustomed with playing 2 games per week (uefa competitions). Besides, it’s not like anyone is fighting to death in friendlies…

PSG’s most in-form players in this moment are undoubtedly the wingers. Lavezzi is very active every round, Lucas began to have more confidence (he was involved in an amazing action against Marseille in which he dribbled and outrun a couple of opponents), and Cavani returned from injury with an appetite bigger than ever (he even scored last round). They will be the ones making the difference against a washed out side like Bastia.

PSG should welcome back fullback Jallet after injury.

Guests should be able to cover the handicap after a completely controlled game. PSG -1.5 at 1.96.

UPDATE: For Bastia Cahuzac, Rapsentino and Palmieri are back from injury. PSG will be without Cavani who got held in Uruguay for personal reasons. menez will also miss. Same bet
