Bastia – Nice Preview

Bastia Nice Preview

BASTIA

The game between Marseille and Bastia last round had only one direction with Marseille in charge from the first minute. Bastia were ineffective when trying to strike back and in the end the scoreboard reflected exactly the reality in the field (Marseille won 4-1).

The only good news is that striker Brandao finally scored his first goal for Bastia after transferring-in in 2014…

In the last home game Bastia focused first of all on counters and the strategy paid off (won 3-0 vs Guingamp). Most likely they will adopt the same tactics this round and will let Nice take the initiative.

Hosts will once again miss fullback Djiku and winger Kamano, both of them suspended, but may welcome back keeper Leca and midfielder Mostefa.

NICE

Last round was the first game so far in which Nice have failed to score (lost 1-0 to Guingamp). Forward Ben Arfa was not that inspired anymore and opponents didn’t had many difficulties in stopping his actions.

The good news is that newly transferred fullback Ricardo was extremely active and it seems he instantly adapted at Nice and clicked with teammates.

Forward Le Bihan (also newly arrived) played for about half an hour but seemed a bit selfish and unlike Ricardo it will take some time for Le Bihan to fit in.

Central defender Bodmer should start this round after sitting only on the bench last week (fresh out of injury).

BETTING

The price on Nice seems a bit to high as there are good chances they will be the ones imposing the rythm in this game. However both sides will enter the game after poor performances and may focus primarily on not making any mistakes that could lead to another defeat.

UPDATE: Bastia welcome back keeper Leca and midfielder Mostefa after injuries. Midfielder Mendy is once again available for Nice.

Bastia: Hansen, J.-L.Leca – Palmieri, Modesto, Squillaci, Marange, Peybernes, Jebbour, Cioni – Mostefa, L.Coulibaly, Cahuzac, S.Fofana, Danic, S.Diallo – F.Ayité, Raspentino, Maboulou, Brandão

Nice: Hassen, Cardinale – Baysse, Boscagli, Correia, Bodmer, Ricardo – Albert, N.Mendy, Koziello, Seri, Wallyson, Benrahma, Pied – Plea, Germain, Ben Arfa, A.Mendy, Le Bihan
