Bastia Monaco Preview

bastia monaco preview

BASTIA

Last round Bastia looked very determined in the first half hour, but unfortunately they were once again hesitant in defense and completely collapsed after the first goal (Toulouse won 4-1).

Besides losing all points, Bastia also lost central defender Saint Ruf and midfielder Cahuzac (will be suspended this round). This is a tough moment for Bastia who are struggling with injuries and suspensions, and although their game improved in comparison to the first part of the season, they are still to pick up the first Ligue 1 win in 2017.

Bad news for Bastia who will have to do without their best attacking players: forward Crivelli and winger Saint Maximin.

MONACO

There’s no stopping Monaco. They destroyed Metz last week after a one sided encounter (won 5-0). Monaco fully deserve to be Ligue 1 leaders at the moment, as their football is by far the most efficient in the tournament.

But the real test will come next week at Manchester City in Champions League, so the possibility for Monaco to make a few changes and take this game lightly shouldn’t be excluded.

But last round for example, players like Bakayoko, Lemar and Germain were only on the bench, so in the end there is no real reason to worry, even if there will be a few changes to the lineup.
Guests will miss winger Boschillia who suffered an injury last week.

BETTING

It will be extremely difficult for Bastia to cope with Monaco’s attacks, given the way the performed in defense lately. On the other hand they’ll be lucky to find the net without Crivelli and Siant Maximin. MONACO -1.25 at 2.12
