Bastia Angers Preview

bastia angers preview

Uneventful game between Caen and Bastia last round, game in which the lack of motivation was obvious (finished 0-0).

Bastia had only 16 players available last week, but things should improve this round as fullback Plamieri and forward Brandao may return after injury. Central midfielder Mostefa will also make a comeback after suspension.

With young players like Kamano and Ngando in the attacking department, Bastia have a promising future, especially if they will learn to play together, and officials will strengthen the squad with a gifted creative midfielder.

It’s been a while since the season ended for Bastia, but still on home ground they are very pushy, and most probably the same will happen this round, especially since this is the last game of the season in-front of their fans.

It was a balanced game between Angers and Marseille last week, and Angers were pretty unlucky to end up empty handed (lost 1-0).

Just like Bastia, Angers have no motivation for a couple of rounds already, but still managed to pick up points and perform at decent standards.

Players seem a bit tired, especially since they used the same formula throughout the season. At Angers substitutes are way under the level of regulars, and coach Moulin can’t afford to make changes, even if Angers are safe in the middle of the table.

Guests will welcome back defender Traore after suspension.

It is difficult to anticipate how this game will develop, especially since there is no motivation. Bastia may try to take control of the game, but Angers are very organized and able to hold ground. A fun bet on 0-0 correct score is the best way to go.

UPDATE: Bastia welcome back forward Brandao, defender Peybernes and winger Ayité.

Bastia: J-L.Leca, Hansen – Cioni, Marange, Squillaci, Djiku, Modesto, Palmieri, Peybernes – Cahuzac, Mostefa, S.Fofana, L.Coulibaly, Ngando, Danic – F.Ayité, Kamano, Brandao
