Angers Toulouse Preview

angers toulouse preview

ANGERS

Angers made a poor game last week away at Bastia (lost 1-0). They had no inspiration in the attacking phase, and the levels of organization in defense diminished in comparison to previous rounds.

Central midfielder Mangani was once again their best player, like in many games this season, but unfortunately couldn’t stop opponents from scoring the winner. Mangani will miss this game and Angers’ overall strength will be significantly reduced.

Regardless Mangani’s absence and the apparent lack of motivation, Angers is still a difficult opponent and will never abandon fight.

Central defender Thomas will also miss through suspension.

TOULOUSE

It was surprising to see Toulouse struggling last round against Troyes. In the end they won 3 important points, but were far from convincing and the game was played until the final (Toulouse won 1-0).

They are now above the relegation zone, but the situation is pretty tight (1 point more than 19th placed Reims, and same number of points as 18th placed Gazelec Ajaccio) and only a win will guarantee they survive in Ligue1, without depending on other results.

In comparison to the other relegation candidates, Toulouse play the best football at the moment, with actions evenly distributed on all areas of the field, and very compact in the defensive phase.

BETTING

Toulouse will surely do everything in their power to take all points, but they will also be watching the results from other games, as they can survive in Ligue1 even with a defeat in this game. There’s no doubt they have the upper hand, but unfortunately the odds on them hold absolutely no value.
